Contact Atmospheric water generation · South Africa
The AW70 Freedom produces filtered drinking water from humidity in the atmosphere—without a municipal water connection.
*Rated at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. Output varies with ambient conditions.
01 — The principle
South Africa’s water challenges are not abstract. Interruptions, declining infrastructure and the logistics of bottled water affect homes and businesses every day.
Airwater adds a practical source at the point of use. The AW70 works with the moisture already in the air, producing water where it is needed and scaling one machine at a time.
02 — The process
A fan draws humid ambient air across a cooled surface.
Cooling the air below its dew point changes water vapour into liquid.
Ultra-filtration and nano-silver carbon filtration refine the collected water.
The finished water is stored in the machine, ready at the point of use.
03 — The AW70 Freedom
Designed for everyday use, straightforward maintenance and modular expansion.

Produce drinking water independently of a municipal water inlet, in a compact format that can serve a household, workplace or remote property.
*Performance rating at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. Site conditions determine actual production.
04 — Performance conditions
Atmospheric water production changes with the air around the machine. Warmer, more humid conditions provide more moisture to collect; cooler or drier conditions provide less.

Warmer + more humid
More available moisture generally increases the volume of water the machine can produce.
Cooler + drier
Output reduces as temperature or relative humidity falls below the reference conditions.

05 — Applications
Additional drinking-water resilience for families and residential communities.
Point-of-use drinking water for teams, guests and daily operations.
Water production in locations where reticulation or delivery is constrained.
Modular equipment for interruption, disaster relief and temporary supply.
Configured around demand
Atmospheric water generation can be expanded in modules. Airwater integrators configure machine count, storage and installation around the site rather than forcing every requirement into one fixed package.

06 — Common questions
The machine draws in humid air and cools it below the dew point. The condensed water then passes through ultra-filtration and nano-silver carbon filtration before collection.
The rated output is up to 70 litres per day at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. Actual production changes with temperature, humidity, ventilation and operating time.
No. It uses moisture already present in the surrounding air. It requires electricity, adequate airflow and a suitable installation position.
The AW70 needs a well-ventilated, covered position protected from rain. Airwater can advise on enclosures and multi-unit installations for exposed sites.
Yes. Optional Wi-Fi monitoring and control provides remote visibility of machine status and operation through the Airwater platform.
No. Atmospheric water generation is climate dependent. We assess the intended location and use case so that expected production is understood before purchase.
